RISC’s Board of Directors considers its primary role to be responsible for the management and oversight of the business and affairs of the company. In carrying out its responsibilities, the Board undertakes to serve the interests of clients, shareholders and employees in a fair and diligent manner and in accordance with applicable laws.

The Board also recognises that RISC as a company has a responsibility to organisations which represent our professions and the company is committed to the education and development of young professionals. 

 

 
HON. RICHARD COURT AC
 

Chairman, Richard Court was Premier and Treasurer of Western Australia from 1993 to 2001 and retired from Parliament after nineteen years as the Member for Nedlands.

His government led the LNG marketing push into new markets, the successful deregulation of the Western Australian gas markets and the successful privatisations of the SGIO, BankWest, AlintaGas, Westrail Freight and the DBNG pipeline.

Chief Executive Officer / Partner, has 20 years international experience in the upstream oil and gas business with Shell, Woodside and Chevron.  Will has a strong background in process and project engineering for onshore and offshore projects.

Extensive experience applying a range of technical, economic and commercial skills to assess the opportunity offered by LNG development options for Chevron's Gorgon field, Woodside’s Browse Basin gas assets and LNG import terminals.

GEOFF BARKER

Partner, with twenty-eight years of global experience in the upstream hydrocarbon industry. Geoff has extensive expertise in the areas of asset valuation, business strategies, evaluation of conventional and non-conventional petroleum (coal seam gas and tight gas), due diligence assessment for M&A and project finance requirements and reserves assessment/certification.

Past Chairman of the SPE WA Section and serving on the SPE’s Oil and Gas Reserves Committee.

RUSSELL WILLIAMS

Partner, with more than 20 years experience in the hydrocarbon industry mainly in commercial functions with major Australian operators, Esso and Woodside. Since the completion of his MBA, he has held a range of commercial positions with responsibility for complex joint venture negotiations, strategic analysis of competing gas market opportunities and corporate reviews of Australian government policy on fiscal and environmental issues.He has conducted financial evaluations of oil and gas assets in Australia/NZ, Asia and Africa.

GEOFF SALTER

Partner, is a Chartered Petroleum Engineer with over 23 years global upstream experience in technical and management positions with major operators and consulting firms. Excellent technical skills, a strong ability to lead multidisciplinary teams combined with a thorough knowledge of the upstream business have led to a track record of delivering realistic assessments and added value. Geoff has extensive experience of new ventures evaluations, field optimisation, independent reserves reporting, development planning, and decision analysis in the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, Middle East and Africa.

SIMON WHITAKER

Partner, with over 20 years experience in the petroleum industry in UK, Egypt, South East Asia and Australasia.

Simon has a strong all round petroleum engineering background including reservoir & production engineering, well evaluation and varied operational experience.

Subsequent career development has involved an MBA, asset management, field development planning and implementation and commercial roles.

Partner, has over 20 years experience in the upstream hydrocarbon industry with BP and Shell.

Extensive experience with mature and greenfield oil, gas and gas-condensate developments in the North Sea, Africa, Middle East and Australasia.

Peter specialises in reservoir evaluation, field development planning, integrated project reviews and multidisciplinary team coordination and leadership.
